Ways To Get Involved

Our Lady of Grace depends on our community of parents to manage many of our programs both inside and outside of the classrooms.  We are very grateful to parents for their generous gifts of time and talent!

PSO

The umbrella organization for nearly all parent efforts is the Parent School Organization (PSO).  The PSO includes over 40 committees which provide classroom support, fundraising, hospitality and more.  All OLG parents are members of the PSO, and all are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and get involved on one or more committees.  Whatever your skills and availability, there is a volunteer opportunity that is just right for you!  For more information, please visit the PSO page.

SAC

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a board composed of parents, parishioners, Head of School, Principals and Fr. Kevin.  The SAC meets monthly and considers policy issues affecting the school.  Members serve 3-year terms and are appointed based on the skills needed in the group. For the board members list, click here.

Moms of Grace

Moms of Grace is for mothers with children of all ages!  We welcome you to join us once a month as we pray, learn about Jesus and His Church and grow in Christian service to one another. For more information, please visit the Moms of Grace page.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club is open to all men of Our Lady of Grace Parish.  The Men’s Club is a social and fundraising organization that contributes greatly to OLG School through events such as the Christmas Tree Lot, Fish Fry and Gala.  For more information, please visit the Men’s Club page.

Volunteer Requirements

As a Catholic school, all volunteers must complete Essential 3 procedures. Virtus training and background checks are required to be renewed every 3 years. The Archdiocesan policy requires background checks, Virtus training, and a signed Code of Conduct for all adults who volunteer in school. This includes any parent/community member who reads to a class, who assists students one-on-one, or who assists in any classroom/school activity, party or event. For some volunteer positions which require driving or handling money, additional steps in the background check process are required. Please contact Jamie Pohl at the Parish Office with any questions.
